DA Davidson Doesn't See iPhone Win for Synaptics; Says Boradcom (BRCM) Won Touch Contrl

DA Davidson comments on Synaptics Inc. (Nasdaq: SYNA) ahead of results due after the close on 01/25. The firm expects in-line results but said margins are a concern. Maintains its Underperform rating.

The firm also said they expect portable device markets to rebound, but said they don't expect Synaptics has won a socket in Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone. The firm believe the touch control has gone to Broadcom(Nasdaq: BRCM).
